Hand Salve
I can’t stop my hands from peeling…?
I live in Michigan and since it’s winter, my hands and lips will not stop peeling! I use Curel hand lotion about 5 times a day. I’ve tried Aquaphor at night with gloves on. Burt’s Bee’s Hand Salve. Nothing seems to stop it. What can I do to get this to stop? I hate peeling all the time.
My lips constantly peel too. I keep them moist with Chap Stick, but it’s never ending.
I had that problem until my aunt (who’s a dairy farmer) told me about bag balm. You put it on at night and then put a pair of gloves or socks over your hands so it doesn’t rub off. In the morning your hands are a lot better. My hands used to get so dry they cracked all over and within a week of using this stuff they were all healed and soft again. You can get it at Wal-Mart in the pet department. You can also put a very thin layer on your lips just make sure not to lick them.
