Tattoo Dark
UV tattoos are an alternative to regular, or common, tattoo ink. Commonly known as a glow in the dark tattoo, or black light tattoo, UV tattoos project a bright color under a black light. . UV stands for “ultraviolet” and it is a type of radiation, or light, which is nearly invisible to the human eye. Ultraviolet tattoos do not simply “glow in the dark,” they require the use of a black light. Clubs, concerts and bowling alleys are places that commonly use black lights. Two main benefits of black light tattoos are listed below:
Virtually invisible in daylight: The basic color of UV ink usually matches the skin after the tattoo has fully healed. This means that you will be able to go to work with a tattoo, in a visible area, without people noticing your tattoo. This will allow a business “professional” to appear businesslike during the day, but still have the ability to be a party-animal at night. If you are worried about visible tattoos hindering your career, but still love art on your skin, a UV tattoo is a good choice. Also, if you decide to get someone’s name inked on your skin, and break up with the person, the tattoo will only be visible under black light.
Variety of colors available: In addition to the basic color of black light ink which is virtually undetectable during daylight, there are many other colors available that are visible in daylight. For instance, you can have a tattoo of a yellow sun, which is visible in daylight, but will also glow under black light. Each color of UV ink will glow a different color under a black light. This will give you added creativity when choosing ink colors for your tattoo.
The flexibility of UV tattoos is endless. You can select to have a tattoo outlined in black light ink or have an entire tattoo created in UV ink, the choice is yours.
